INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK

THE CRY OF A CHILDLESS MOTHER (Extract from THE PASSION OF CHRIST)

Here are few things I outlined as inspired when I was seeing this movie....
1. Mary knew that something was gonna happen to her "baby Jesus" but then she has learnt to let go (which wasn't easy) ever since Jesus was still a baby because of her encounter with SIMEON in the temple. Luke 2:34-35.

2. The look Jesus gave Peter after he denied Christ three times like Jesus told him he would was not a look of condenmnation but a look of forgiveness and that's why Peter felt unworthy and broken becuase nothing breaks a man like forgiveness of sin especially when he's not worth it. This is also applicable with anyone reading this post right now, you are not damaged beyond repaire Jesus didnt come to condenm you He came to save you. Just come to him as you are, he loves you.

3. No matter how hard anyone tried to save Jesus from the cross, it wont just work, because Jesus had to be sentenced to a very painful and terrible death like cricifixion. WHY? Isahiah 53:10 answered it. "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him..."

4. Though Mary knew Jesus had to die but she was still hoping He wouldnt. She knew Jesus had the power to save Himself but why he didnt is what she didnt understand. And a point, Mary just had to let go of that hope.

5.The choice the governor placed before the galileans was out of a heart to help Jesus quit his destiny, but he was amazed seeing them chose a criminal over a man they all welcome with chants few days ago. All these cant work because if these actions to help Jesus work, the human race is doomed for eternal death.

6. Dont be amazed that persecution couldnt stop the disciples even after Jesus' exit, Jesus already told them what lies ahead "No servant is greater than his master,if they persecute me, they will persecute you".

7. Salvation didnt start on the cross, the cross marks the completion of the whole process. The very first drop of Jesus' blood  started the process that was completed on the cross.

8. Guess who is the most grateful; THE PROSTITUTE Jesus saved from being stoned to death.

9. And Marry was there from the start to the end you wonder where she got the strength to push through. Well it takes the elect to mother the saviour of the world. Mary's birth into this world was for a purpose and she was designed and equiped for it.

10. At the moment they drew the first nail into Jesus' hand, my Saviour knew all is done, the sacrifice for human sins is set and ready to be lifted up unto God as a sweet smelling savour.

11. Jesus asked a question that didnt just touch the heavens, but got God touched Himelf "My father my father why hath thou forsaken me?"

12. And in the midst of his pain, Jesus uttered the sentence that summarized his life "Father FORGIVE them..."

13. It's unexplainable how some get touched and accept Jesus and some dont just like the thieves on the cross, one believed and the other didnt. Truely it is God that draws us to Himself.

14. There on the cross when Jesus gave up his spirit; that was the completion of the SALVATION process.

15. They asked if Jesus was truely the son of God and they got their deserved answer right after Jesus' death. The ecplise and the earthquake which terified everyone of them from the least to the chief high priest.

16. And guess who's got the greatest regret on Jesus' death? THE DEVIL.

Jesus didnt die for the fun of it, he didnt just die to show off his endurance strength. He died for you, to set you free from the bondage of sin. Why not embrace his gift of salvation, accept you are a sinner, believe he has been made the sacrifice for your sins and confess your sins to him. He's just and faithful to embrace you... NOW YOU KNOW THE TRUTH.
